Food wise - we were VERY disappointed! Breakfast was the best meal which had lots of choice, lunch & dinner was deffo not worth paying extra for. Room wise we got lucky, even though we requested a room high up we got ground floor (021) and it was a lovely location with a balcony leading out to the pool which made it easy to nip back and forth and the highlight was sitting out at 8:50am and watching everyone queue and race to get sunbeds when the barriers were removed at 9am, some bypassed the barriers to secure beds and staff that were still cleaning didn’t seem to say anything. Older boy (13yr) found a pool table, dartboard and football pitch whilst wandering about but neither were being utilised and the dartboard had seen better days and had no darts. Youngest (9yr) went to try the kids club 2 mornings in the aim to make friends and keep out of the sun but spent both times playing alone so left early. We’ve just returned from a week all inclusive (our 3childrens first holiday abroad) and we couldn’t wait to get home! The package/hotel was sold as family oriented but unfortunately there wasn’t much aimed at older children and the staff didn’t seem to interact with the older ones. We had room nr 203, so I would rahter choose a room with a higher (end) number, first digit is the level, which is rather towards the other side of the hotel. The personal cleaned the entire pool area every morning and nobody was allowed to go to the pool before 9am, but then you should be there to get your favorite spot… The only one thing that we didn‘t like was the noise in the evening from a neighbor bar Scallywags, which often went up to midnight, which is not cool with kids. Pool was heated, so always great to enjoy, also in this time of the year. Our little boy adored Angelique (I hope I spelled her correctly) it was amazing how she took care. They had great offers for any age, if you didnt want to join they were not intrusive. Special thanks to the outstanding animation team. We liked the arm-wrists with an RFid chip to take care of any payments or open the doors to the room and the door to the beach. Rooms was great, large terasse, re-filled mini bar, pillow menu to choose from, absolutley nothing to complain. But you could also sit outside, which is more quiet. In other hotels we where it has not been so loud, I think some „noice cancellation“ interior would make a difference. The food was OK there as well but not comparable, and it was very noise with all the smaller kids. As the special restaurant is closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays we had to go to the standard buffet restaurant. Nice chillout music during breakfast and dinner made a great atmosphere. The dinner was á-la-carte, and especially with kids you need some… adjustments wrt the food and they really tried to make everything possible. You can sit inside or outside, we preferred outside, althoug after the sunset it got a bit cold, so taking along a light jacket makes sense. We had breakfast and dinner in a separate restaurant with beach view, delicious food and attentive personal. For me that really made the difference, and if we would come back, this is a MUST. We, a family of four, had a fantastic stay for 10 days in an Excellence room.
